Types of Squirrels

Life Expectancy and Gestation
Their life expectancy in the wild is approximately 3 to 4 years. Squirrels give birth to two litters per year during the summer and winter. After a 44 day gestation period, a female squirrel gives birth to 3 to 4 babies. They grow quickly and are weaned in about ten weeks.
